Throttle Pot Self Centering Mechanism

pot_web_13a pot_web_14a pot_web_15a

All versions of the MCIPC controller, except for the unit with the F-R option, work the same way. "Neutral" is the center position on the pot, right of center is one direction, left of center is the other. Unless you have a machine shop and can make the mechanism shown above, you would have to be content to return the throttle to center manually to stop the motor or by some other clever device you may have fabricated.

All that extra work is now unnecessary. In response to numerous requests, I offer the assembly shown above. The unit includes the 5k linear potentiometer that the controller needs in scooter service, the mounting bracket, spring, washers, and lever knob. Also the #6-32 X 1 1/4" screws, spacers and #6 hex nuts seen below. The whole unit arrives fully assembled and electrically centered. It DOES NOT include the black plastic box shown below for mounting suggestion only.

Price of the Self Centering Mechanism is only $25 each.
